DMAE

DMAE (Dimethylaminoethanol) is a precursor to choline, a major component of the neurotransmitter acetylcholine. Acetylcholine is a neurotransmitter found in both the peripheral and central nervous systems and is responsible for the control and regulation of muscles, energy levels, heart beat, respiration, and learning/memory. Supplementing with DMAE has become common in the management of certain psychological health problems, such as bipolar and ADHD, as well as Alzheimer's.
