Lutein, a carotenoid found in most fruits and vegetables, is intended to provide nutritive support for healthy vision. Each softgel provides a once daily potency of 24 mg Lutein. Astaxanthin, another carotenoid, is 100x more potent than Vitamin E in antioxidant assays. Astaxanthin is one of the few antioxidants that can cross the retinal and blood brain barriers.
