SAMe

SAMe, a molecule naturally occurring in the human body, that is responsible for the methylation of other molecules. The methylation process is critically important to our bodies, as it affects our genes, our brains and our overall growth processes. SAMe is currently used as a supplement to promote healthy moods (some use it as an alternative treatment for depression and anxiety), as an anti-arthritic agent, and as an alternative way to manage the pain associated with liver conditions such as hepatitis, cirrhosis and cholestasis. In 14 countries besides the United States, SAMe is approved for the treatment of both depression and arthritis.
