Triphala, the most widely used herbal blend in Ayurveda, was valued by the ancient Hindus as "good manager of the house". Triphala contains equal parts of three fruits: Terminalia chebula, Terminalia belerica, and Phyllanthus emblica known in Ayurveda as Haritaki, Bibhitaki and Amalaki.
